Watford to London: Getting into the capital
Getting from Watford to Heathrow Airport is a simple journey with three main stages. First, you’ll hop on the train from Watford to London Euston – your most likely station to arrive in London.
Then you’ll travel from Euston to London Paddington before taking the Heathrow Express direct to Heathrow Airport.

How to get from Euston to Paddington
Once you arrive at London Euston, there are a few different options to journey to Paddington. You can take a cab, but this could be expensive. On a good day, it will take five minutes, but this depends on the traffic which can be busy around both stations. You can walk but it will take you around half an hour. There is a bus, with the number 30 towards Marble Arch a useful option.
The easiest and one of the quickest routes is to stroll to Euston Square (it’s a few minutes away) and take the Tube to Paddington. Hop on either the Circle Line or Hammersmith & City Line and it’s just three stops.
Where to find the Heathrow Express in Paddington
If you arrive at Paddington from the Underground, make your way up the escalators to the main concourse. If you get the bus, walk or take a taxi head into the station by one of the street entrances and walk to the main concourse.
Our Heathrow Express platforms are usually platforms six and seven. Simply go through the ticket barriers and walk to the platform, but don’t forget to check the boards first in case the Heathrow Express is running from a different platform.
